Clear photos can help a waterproofing team understand your bathroom leak before arranging an appointment. They do not replace a proper diagnosis, but they reduce back-and-forth questions and make the initial advice and quotation discussion faster and more accurate.
1. Photograph where the leak is visible
Take one wide photo showing the full ceiling or wall and one close photo of the stain, peeling paint or active dripping. If the leak is in the unit below, show its position relative to the bathroom above.
2. Show the whole bathroom floor
Stand at the doorway and photograph the complete floor layout. Include the shower area, toilet base and floor trap where possible. A wide image gives context that close-ups cannot provide.
3. Add close-ups of important joints
- Floor trap and surrounding grout
- Wall-to-floor junction
- Cracked or missing grout
- Pipe penetrations and sanitary fittings
- Loose, hollow or damaged tiles
4. Provide the approximate bathroom size
Measure the approximate length and width of the bathroom in feet or metres. If you cannot measure exactly, give a reasonable estimate and state whether the shower area is separate. Treatment scope and material requirements depend partly on area.
5. Explain when the leak happens
Tell us whether the leak appears after showering, floor washing, toilet use or continuously. Mention how long it has happened and whether the water meter moves when all outlets are off. This helps distinguish possible waterproofing seepage from a plumbing problem.
6. Include property and access details
State whether the property is a condominium, apartment, terrace house or commercial unit, together with the Klang Valley area. For a condominium, mention any management access or working-hour requirements you already know.
Photos that are less useful
- Dark or heavily blurred images
- Extreme close-ups without a wide view
- Old images that no longer show the current condition
- Images with the leak location hidden by furniture or ceiling panels
What happens after you send the information?
Our team reviews the symptoms and determines whether an on-site assessment is appropriate. The inspection fee is RM50. If you engage our service, the RM50 is fully rebated from the quotation; if you do not proceed, it remains the inspection fee.
For suitable cases after pipe failure is ruled out, our no-hacking waterproofing solution may treat seepage without removing the existing tiles. Eligible treatments may carry warranty coverage of up to 5 years, depending on scope, site condition and written quotation.
